In the heart of the Brionnais region, Les Traits d'Union welcomes you to a farm dedicated to draught horses and animal traction. Of course, your own horses are also welcome (pasture accommodation).
The gîte comprises a kitchen/living room with all the necessary equipment. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms sleeping 2 to 4, and a bathroom.
You have access to the large garden (and barbecue), as well as to the 21-hectare estate that stretches around the house.
Dogs are welcome at an additional cost.
From the farmhouse, you have access to numerous walking, cycling and horse-riding routes, in the centre of a region rich in history, heritage and festivities.
For anglers, the Loire and its canal are not far away.
For cyclists, there are over 1000km of routes designed especially for you! From leisurely family rides on the Veloire to trails for mountain bikers, there's something for everyone.
And for horse riders and drivers, the paths will take you to the limits of your explorations.
Just a few kilometres away are some magnificent listed villages, such as Marcigny (12km), Charlieu (18km) and Paray le Monial (35km). A Cluniac heritage rich in churches, museums, architecture and art awaits you in La Bénisson-Dieu, Anzy le Duc, Paray-le-Monial and many others. These villages offer markets of exceptional quality and mainly local produce (Monday mornings for Marcigny, Friday mornings for Melay and Saturday mornings for Charlieu).
As for on-site activities, Fabrice can introduce you to draught horses (horse-drawn carriage rides, work on foot and animal traction, etc.), while Béatrice (Ma Voix est Libre) can introduce you to the workings and possibilities of your spoken and sung voice.
Don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
We look forward to welcoming you to Les traits d'Union!
Béatrice and Fabrice
