Marciniacum, Inter terram et flumen, Aqua Urbis" or "Marcigny, the city of water between land and river" is an annual exhibition that takes you to the heart of the town's history, taking you back in time and beginning the exciting adventure of human occupation entirely linked to water, the blue gold, the vital element, 200,000 years of history traced through objects, photographs, paintings and drawings to understand this anthropic settlement and the aquatic environment. It's also a chance to discover or rediscover the existence of the Roanne-Digoin canal and, above all, the impetuous, untamable and magnificent river "Liger", the Loire.
