Between the Loire and the Ponds

In the middle of the green pastures from where his majesty the Charolais bull surveys his realm, the Loire flows and the canoes glide. On the right bank, the wooded path follows the old railway line. On the way, natural spaces follow one another. The visibility is perfect for observing a pair of swans, a flight of teals or a heron, the winged gentleman of the river, lifting its neck, while standing on one leg, and the near-by ponds. Birdsong flutters to respond to some taunting from the bushes and hedges : game animals and birds have made it their domain.
