The House that tells you all about life in 1900 …

Nestling at the top of the hill not far from the Romanesque church of St Marcel, the museum presents the daily life of our ancestors between 1860 and 1950, through a number of original “real-life situations”: habitat, vineyards and tools, cellar, bicycles, fishing in the River Loire, music, breeding, Romanesque art, clothing.

In a tower classified as a Historical Monument, the collections of decorative arts, fine arts and archaeology permanently exhibited are presented side by side with contemporary works of art that are exhibited for annual temporary exhibitions.

Laid out in a previous artisanal sawmill, this exhibition space proposes the rediscovery of the elements that are typical of our local, historical, cultural and artisanal heritage through temporary exhibitions, entirely renewed each quarter.

Exhibition of live nativity scenes from December to mid-January 

Worth seeing: Grand point wine-press dating back to 1683.
